What amaze transactions does the 1% fee apply to?

There’s a 1% fee (minimum 0.50 SGD) applied on all domestic spending when
amaze is linked to a debit/credit card. This includes spends that have been
refunded, and in some cases where a merchant puts a temporary hold on your
money before a purchase (pre-authorisation). You may avoid this fee by
spending via your amaze wallet.

Here are some examples of how the 1% fee will be applied:

amaze transaction Domestic fee charged
amaze linked to card amaze linked to wallet
20 SGD for MRT fare 0.50 SGD No fee
300 SGD on NTUC 3 SGD No fee
1,500 SGD on UNIQLO 15 SGD No fee

Note: Starting 10 March 2025, the 1% MCC fee on payments
that fall under MCC 6540 (e-wallet top-ups) and MCC 4111 (EZ-Link wallet
top-ups and TransitLink General Ticketing Machines) has been removed. These
payments, if made via linked card, will only be subject to the domestic fee.
